Just bought a cool game from the gadget shop today - drinking chess!

If we were to play with a 40% ABV spirit, there's 24 units each there. That's 12 pints of beer. I got a hold of something that's 30% for tonight, though - practice run!

I live with a guy who's brilliant at chess (mathematician...) and near unbeatable. Should he take the lead, the alcohol should handicap him!

Does anyone have something that's similarly fun?

You and your wife could play red vs white wine, which is pretty cool. You'd fit in 600ml of wine into each set of pieces, so almost a whole bottle. I'd say anything up to 15% is playable without any real side-effects, but we're going 3/4 power tonight with a 30% spirit.

Maybe someday we'll graduate to 70% ABV Absynth, and what's left of our livers will dissolve in our bloodstream.

It's best to play sober. I played euchre w/ my drunk friends for money once and it was great. I just kept changing the trump and they were too drunk to notice.

Drinking Chess sounds really fun, but I haven't seen it anywhere. I guess shot glasses with pictures on them could substitute. Heck, we could have drinking checkers. At some point we'll probably forget wether we're playing on black or white squares.

I have a ton of board games. Favorite is 'Cities and Knights' which is an expansion to 'Settlers of Catan'. This game rocks with 6 players. I did buy a card game called 'Bang!' Fun game, but not what I was hoping for. I might see if we can twist it to where you have to have a quicky with the person you laid a Bang! card against. There are a lot of good games a www.fairplaygames.com and I think I've probably purchased 10% of all their titles. We have a lot of board games.

It says the loser has to drink the beer. There's no reason to try and win then. I say if you jump it, you drink it. Builds a handicap after a few, especially if using shots of absolute or something with kick. Whiskey VS. Rum. By the end of the game, your rules become like 'chutes & ladders'.

This reminds of a scene in the Family Guy episode "Wasted Talent" when Peter goes to a party before his piano recital. This is from memory so it may not be completely accurate.

Drinking games sad sad sad, whatever happened to beer, funnel, hose? That was one of my favorites.

Ever play tequilla pooters? Which is much better than Tequilla shooters but you need a liberal female and you have to play at home...they WILL kick you out of the bar. (or at least they will in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus )
