Hello!
I have 2 questions:
1) I have a dvd, which starts playing in VTS_07_1.VOB. I noticed that when I click directly over it (it's that copyright warning message, and a small logotype animation). How it is possible?
2) This file is corrupted. How can I cut it off, and maintain the dvd structure, so I can re-author it?
Thanks for the help!![]()

I'm not sure what you mean by "when I click directly over it", but I'll take a stab at it.
The contents of the VOB's can be all sorts of mixed stream content, contained in 'cells' for lack of a better word. The IFO file tells the player where in the VOB (which cell) to pull the stream from, so you could have 10 different 'videos' in the VOB, for example, and the IFO could tell the player which cell to pull the 3rd video clip from. Think of the IFO like a map of what's in the VOB.
If your just trying to remove a piece of the VOB, like a copyright warning, then you can use VOBrator (should be available in the TOOLS section). It will allow you to selectively exclude individual VOB components, like subtitles, individual bits of 'video', and individual audio streams.
Each 'video' clip in the VOB is broken down by ID, and you can selectively turn off each of the ID's components.
Just click on the ID component with a stack of CD's graphic next to it, and then click the play button to preview what that individual ID contains. If it's something you want to exclude, then uncheck the 'Include In Output' for that entire ID. Once you scanned all the components in a VOB, you can save it to a new file. The new file will not contain any of the pieces you've excluded.Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
