Skipping in some players

When i make back-ups using DVD shrink and burn with nero 6 with Verbatim DVD+R, they play excellent in one of my players - magnavox w/proscan,,,,,but when they play in other players that do not have the progressive scan they skip and sometimes lock up,,,,,anybody else have this problem ? or is there help or hints that will make this problem go away ? any help would be appreciated.

Not all players can handle backups well. There is nothing unusual about your situation. Only around 87% of players can read DVD+R. If you have a dual format burner, try a DVD-R. they have a slightly better stand-alone player compatibility.
