  1. Hello everybody!
I'm using Premiere pro, but i'm wondering if should i change to 6.5 or 6.0, cause my computer is slow (Atlon 2.4, 1 Gb DDR 333) and pro version can't change the project after started.

    I need a version that:

1 exports to VCD, SVCD, DVD, MPG 1-2 and to Adobe encore DVD 1.0
2 import logos made in photoshop
3 Has good audio mixer to control volume, treble, bass and audio transitions of each clip.
    4 title

What's the best version for me ?

Should I get some Plug In?

    PS:
I'm newbie with premiere. I already have Adobe photoshop To make logos and Adobe Encore DVD 1.0, So i would like to stay with Adobe products.

    Peace,

    DJM

To begin with, while it's not state of the art, I wouldn't call your computer slow. I am happily running on an AMD1800+ with 768MB DDR and can edit without issue.

AFAIK, the Pro version is the only one that fully integrates with Encore, however all the versions you specified should be able to everything else you need. All can load up logos etc made in Photoshop of other programs, all versions have audio controls, although Pros seem to be the best of the lot, and all can produce titles. Again, Pro has the best titler of the three versions you mentioned, although it is still pretty rudimentary.

I usually edit in Vegas, although I do on occasion need to use Premiere Pro. Mostly my source is DV, and I always output from Premiere as DV. I then encode to the format I need for burning using either Mainconcept or TMPGenc (I prefer Main for interlaced DV source, TMPGenc for progressive). Both have pretty good default settings/templates for VCD/SVCD/DVD etc, and both can produce the elementary streams for loading into Encore.

I also don't understand your comment about not being able to change the project after started. Perhaps you can provide more details of your problem ?
