  1. hi
i want to capture analog thru my cam. i am using premiere 6.5. seems to work fine with the microsoft dv codec but i want to know if i can optimize my output by changing the codec..... soime options are greyed out in video settings that i would like to use.

i am using a panasonic nv-gs50 dv cam should i install the panasonic codec or what? should i use premiere pro which uses different codec from te microsoft one ???? at the moment i am only interested in getting the best quality avi file.

any advice greatly appreciated as my head really hurts

    thanx [/b]

if your capturing from a dv cam, dv avi is your best bet. there shouldnt be any difference in codecs.
