Ticks and Cracks

Hello,

I tried to back-up the dvd of Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing.

I used DVDShrink and Nero with the same result. The music and the pictures are allright but between the numbers you see a title (in words) of the song that is coming up.

At that point with every title you can hear Ticks and Cracks. In the original is not. So that is clean.

Does anybody know what is the problem and how can I solve it.

Did you do a Full Disc backup or did you ReAuthor? If you ReAuthored the tracks, you in effect will have created non-seamless playback of the videos. You'll get a slight pause till it goes to the next title. I haven't experienced this problem when ReAuthoring music videos. Pretty strange.

I'm thinking that it could possibly be a combination of the method of burning, the quality of the source, the quality of the media, or your DVD player. Try playing the authored VOBs off your hard drive before burning. Does it still do it ?

Yes, It does.

I have a plextor Burner and i tried it with that en another dvd player en they give the same result. Cracks.

So may be you have another sugestion?
