Regardless of today's events he epitomises everything good about Leeds

They have been unbelievable all season, I have always tried my best and they have taken to me.
I can't thank them enough and hopefully it will not be the last time I am in a Leeds shirt.

Leeds MD: Wage bill 'beyond belief'


Leeds managing director David Richmond believes clubs may shy away from buying Elland Road players because of their wages - which he describes as being 'beyond belief'.

But Richmond has pledged a clear-out 'as quickly as possible' of those he does not think can be part of the revolution needed to bring the club back into the Premiership.

Leeds were effectively relegated by yesterday's 4-1 defeat at Bolton.

Speaking in the Yorkshire Post, Richmond said: 'We need a new team of hard-working players. Nobody wants our players because of their wages, some of which are beyond belief.

'But I will get rid of those players we need to as quickly as possible to give us the best possible chance of coming back stronger next season.'

He added: 'I am shocked by the manner of the last two performances. To go down in the manner we have is not what we were hoping for at all - and I have to say I will work every hour possible, night and day, to rebuild this football club.

'It is not going to be easy, because we don't have a lot of money but we have to do what we can for those wonderful supporters.

'We have the backing of the best fans in the country, and they deserve a lot better than they have got.

'Next year we will have passion on the pitch to compare with the passion shown by our fans.'

On the news this morning they said Leeds has a wage bill of £38 mil, yet the average is only £5 mil in Div 1. Some serious trimming required there Will. I'd start by sacking Viduka. Also ain't you still paying some of Fowlers wages ?
