  1. I'm sure this has been asked before. I am using an ATI TV Wonder card for my captures. My problem is that no matter if I use MMC or VirtualDub I can only capture x240. Can I fix this, or is my card limited to this size? I am running WinXP currently, on an athlon 1.4ghz, with 256mb of ram. Thanks for any help.

  2. Try using alternative BT878 drivers, for example those from http://www.iulab.com.

  3. I wouldnt suggest the alt drivers, they killed my whole system and was forced to reinstall windows just to get my tv wonder to work again.

The program from iulabs (iuvcr) is a nice and stable program and allows the tv wonder to capture higher res with the only drawback being the initial setup time (channels), the capture timer working off windows task scheduler can be a pain (especially in XP where it requires a login/pass to be used in user profiles before it will work), and it is not quite a performer as virtual dub is when it comes to slick programming but still does the job very well.

  4. I've got the AIW, too. I just tried IUVCR yesterday. Did a great job on capturing, but the sound didn't synch at all well. Sent them (Ivan) a message and he got back very quickly with three suggestions.

I'd definitely recommend the program for video capture. I'll post again once I get the sync problem solved.
