I need lots of help??

I am currently trying to burn a vcd with nero 5.5 and I have loads of divx,avi& mpeg's that I would like to watch on a Pioneer 440 but everytime I try to use Nero5.5 it starts to encode and take hours to finish if I let it continue.I also have easy cd creator4 as well as cdrwin,is there a better fromat to use or other programs? any help as too how badly im going about this would be greatly received
(im using a p3 733mhz 128mb ram with windows Me.)
