Help with wav to mp2

Does anyone know why I can't convert wav to mp2 with ffmpeggui and headac3he-0.23a. When I use ffmpeggui, I can open the wave file, but when I click convert, the finished window immediately pops up. When I open the file it is 0kb. When I use headac3he-0.23a it says can't open source file. Can some one help me

What happens when you load just the audio file into TMPGEnc and change the output file extension to .mpa?

It freezes up when I load the wav into TMPGENC. All of the apps that I mentioned earlier worked before. I'm not sure why they don't now. I remember doing a system restore and maybe that has something to do with it. I just can't seem to figure this out

use besweet with the gui.

Let's start from scratch, shall we? Load the wave file into Gold Wave, save it as a wave under a new file name. Load new file into TMPGEnc or ffmpeggui.
