    I have some home videos filmed on a hi 8 cam
    samsung vpw7ou i have the ua 1000 usb capture gadget
    ive used serval programs to capture but when i convert the quality is very poor very blocky any ideas

    Do you have a quality slider in your program? I had high bit rates set for encoding in Adobe Premiere but if I didn’t have the quality slider to 5. It looked choppy at times.

    How are you converting? The more details you provide the better. You may want to look in the guides section for capturing and converting if you haven't already done that.

    Are your conversions poor or is it your captures that are poor. USB is not up to decent video capture.
