  1. Hi guys i know this question has been asked before (many times) but still need some help.
The problem is i'm burning backed up DVD's, the media im using is ProdiscS03 (suppose to be ok?)
I've tried burning with Nero and a few other programs. Perosnally i don't think it is the media as i've made back-ups of other films without any problem at all.
Sometimes it works on on the PC using PowerDVD some times it doesn't? I've wasted rather alot of dvd-r's now lol getting to be rather expensive for a student Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry not sure of the make of DVD player but it's not the best lol.
    Thankyou in advance.

  2. if you use dvd shrink for the compression try something else. I also have freezing problems with shrink. Dvd X Copy works fine for me.

If your having freezing at the end of your movies, compress it more.
    See this thread.

  5. This is not necessarily the pro answer, but it works for me. My Audiovox d107 is rather touchy, so had to play around a bit. I first use DVDshrink, and copy to the hard drive. I make sure that it is region 1 only. Not region free, and no other but region 1. Once that is done, I burn using Nero. And take the original out of the computer, becuase it causes Nero to freeze, destroying the writeable disk.

May be BS, but it works. I had switched to better media, some HP's that I got on a half price sale (25 for $25). But it did work with the cheapo material I originally bought to learn how to burn. Still, you should get good disks. Take a look at the DVD Media section, compare to what you can get locally, and may be on sale.

  6. Tried both of these no look Could it be the Source that has the problem? As i've used the same media to back up other of my DVD's?

  7. You could also try to record on DVD-RWs. I tried this when I had the same problem (freezing after 2/3 of the movie) and the RW played fine.
