Just wondering if there is a Firewire card that also has an analog video in for a VCR etc. Just bought a Panasonic Mini DV cam and before I go buya fire wire card I'm wondering if there is one that will also accept an RCA input or similar. My DV Cam does not have an analog in, so I can't do it that way. Any suggestions that are reasonably priced.(or not) thanks

You could look at the
Hollywood Bridge, which has both a firewire port and a analog input and output. Also has hardware based MPEG2 encoding, that makes it good if your CPU is not too fast.
