  1. I myself burned many dvd-r's and dvd+rw's so far, but still not clear on what the coaster is. Can anyone explain me what is coaster in lay man terms?? how that affects the performance of the disk?

  5. A coaster is a mat you put under a glass, so that it wont leave a mark on the polish on the table. Corrupt dvdr burns have only one use ... as coasters 8) . Some companies sell very bad media (DVD-r) and they charge good money for them.. this is known as the "Drinks Mat robbery".
