I can't find a way to extract sound from a DVD. I'd like to listen to the music without the need of a DVD player e.g. in my car. It concerns VOB file format. I tried smartripper already but it.s not working sofar. Am i doing something wrong?

I rip (with DVDDecrypter) in chapter mode (as each song is usually one chapter)
Then I load each chapter one by one with DVD2AVI, and "Save Project", setting the audio option to decode to wav.
Instead of dvd2avi, you can use vob2audio or similar.
Then encode to mp3 or burn to audio CD
