Web viewing from Mac to PC???

Using Final Cut Express 1.0.1, QT Pro 6.5, Cleaner 6.0.1 and Compressor 1.1.

I've come to the conclusion that I have no clue. All the time and money invested just to share simple movies with family.

I build the page with Dreamweaver. Figured out how to get the movie to play on my machine (MDD 1 G dual) then get reports of failure from PC users.

Question:

What is your workflow? Can someone tell me how to imbed a Windoze Media file into my site?

Is there a codec that is multicompatable? I thought I had it with MPEG 4.....seemed to play on the PC I tested it on, but I don't know what the plug-in/player was. (Local Library PC)

I can't seem to convince my viewers to download QT......too much for them.

mpeg-1 will work anywhere. Otherwise go for AVI mpeg-4 which is much smaller in size.

There are several variations of MPEG 4. Media Player 9 and Quicktime 6 will play most of them. divX is also one.
