PIONEER A107 8X DVD - R MEDIA

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN BUY SOME 8 X DVD - R.
Only all I seem to find is + format which I dont like or want.
I need to find out soon wheather or not this drive can burn @ 8x.Because so far none of the datasafe 8x + format have worked.All they do is burn @
4x.(wonder if these discs are FAKE.O YES IVE CAUGHT BEFORE)

I think this is probably more an issue with Pioneers firmware than the discs themselves because they burn at 8 x on my Lite-On 811s. Since this drive has only been out for a short time and the -R 8x standard hasn't been approved, patience may be warranted.

Does this site wait until alot of testing is done before commenting on 8x burning? I too have been wondering how true 8x DVD+R media does. I have been burning 4x media at 8x speed on my Plexor. Just wondering if any difference in burning 4x at 8x speed vs True 8x media burning

& $4 per disk, forget it. Not worth the time savings or the compatibility or reliability issues you might get going so fast. After all 4x is just around or under a dollar a disk.
