Forgive me if this is a n00b question....I looked through the guides and FAQs and didn't find anything that addressed out of sync DVD video....
I captured a 2 hour rock concert to SVCD using ATI TV. I checked the MPEG, the sync is fine. I open it up in TMPGEnc DVD author, cut the blank space from the beginning and end, and add chapters and menus. I click the Output button and make a DVD folder. But in the resulting folder, the sync is WAY off through the entire file. The audio seems to track behind the video. It's tough to say by how much, or whether it gets progressively worse/better through the file, but playing the file to the end, the audio continues for 40 seconds after the video ceases!
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem, or better yet, avoid it in the future?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

BTW, one thing I forgot: The chapter marks are consistent with the audio, not the video.

Isn't DVD Author supposed to be used with DVD compliant files? SVCD isn't DVD compliant. Maybe try to recap in DVD compliant files. Editing will also cause serious out of sync errors after authoring...
