Ok im trying to capture a VHS tape that plays fine on my tv screem, but when I hook up to my ATI AIW 9000 pro its "VERY" jumpy. its a copy of a old film... Ive never had any problems with backing up my VHS tapes. I tried using my "video stabilizer" which helps a lil but is still jumpy. why is it doing this? is there anything I can do? I dont wanna buy a expensive TBC.
thanks

I found certain older video dont come out too well when capturing due to being a marginal poor picture,on tv its fine but it looses its cohesion in capture, without a tbc there`s not much you can do,maybe try another vcr.

da gone it, I was afraid of that. I have tried 3 VCR's so far. this sucks! hmm, so how much is the cheapest TBC?

One thing to try is play the tape through you TV and use the monitor out of the TV(if you have one) to feed the capture card.
I find that this often stabilizes the video.
