Is there a good guide to fix audio/video sync for AVIs? There is only a guide to do this with MPEGs in the guide section. Although they say that it should apply to AVIs as well, I have not been able to get TMPGEnc to accept an AVI in the MPEG TOOLS -> Demultiplex section, therefore, I have to assume that the guide only pertains to MPGs, not AVIs. Any ideas on this?

You're better off using Virtualdub. Under the Audio menu, click on Interleaving. Play with the values on some small test clips before you output your entire file.

Vdub's the best, adjust the delay under audio>interleaving>audio skew. Use Vdub to play the file (the control buttons in the main window) and adjust as necessary. When it's about right, set your audio and video to direct stream copy then under file>save avi.Originally Posted by teegee420"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa

Note: in newer versions of vdub, there is no audio menu. Instead, you work with audio using Streams>Stream list. To get to the dialog where you can enter a delay, right click the audio stream you want, then choose Interleaving.
