  1. Ok, so I'm trying to convert my XSVCD formatted mpegs and put them on a DVD.

I've ran it through NeroVision Express2 and burnt it to DVD-R and it plays on my DVD player @ home, computer and PS2. However, there are A/V synch problems.

Does anyone know how to fix this??

I think it is something to do with bad frames, or the XSVCD mpg needs to be converted into seperate streams (i.e A/V) and then burnt together to the DVD-R.

I've tried opening the file in VDUB and that doesn't want to open it. Neither does TMPGEnc.

    Any help would be appreciate.

  2. Did you resample your audio stream frequency from 44.1khz to 48khz.

  3. I didn't do anything except push it through NeroVision Express2. I didn't change any of the settings I just left them all and hit start.

Do I need to do this?

  4. So you re-encoded it. You may find that that is not necessary, and if it is you certainly should not use nero to do it. There is an option of making a SVCD-DVD (or in your case XSVCD-DVD). Where you just need to resample the audio, no reencoding if the video is necessary. This is not a standard DVD spec though so you will have to take pot luck as to whether it will play in your DVD player. If you do need to encode, get hold of TMPGEnc which is an excellent quality encoder.

Here is a guide for SVCD-DVD

Not necessarily, give SVCD-DVD a try. If it does not work then you will need to reencode.
