I was converting a DivX to DVD files (vob, etc), when I got this error:

++ WARN: [mplex] File size exceeded before split-point in video stream
INFO: [mplex] Starting new output file...
**ERROR: [mplex] Need to split output but there appears to be no %d in the filename pattern /Users/ep2/Movies/movie.ac3.avi.mpg

Yes, I know my file name was all fscked up (don't ask), but is there a way, now that I've got these files:
    movie.ac3.avi.m2v
    movie.ac3.avi.mp2
    movie.ac3.avi.mpg

...to start the process back up? And fix the error?

TIA -- I'm new to this stuff, please be gentle.

  2. You can use Sizzle to recombine the .m2v and .mp2 into a DVD image.

    Major:

Thanks for the tip. I tried to recreate the files this weekend, and it returned the same error (without the stupid file name). Any idea why?

I have to try and run it again anyways...I post-processed my files, and something chewed them along the way. Mplayer will play my VOB files, but DVD player crashes when I try and play back -- and the DVD stalls every couple of frames on my actual DVD player...

  4. I should be able to fix that error in next version. For now, use Sizzle on the .m2v and .mp2 files.

And how exactly would I do that? I have the same problem here with the "Need to split output but there appears to be no %d in the filename pattern…" and three resulting files movie.mpg, movie.mp2 and movie.m2v.

I can "open" the .m2v-file, but not the .mp2-file. I'm a little lost here.
