Hi,
I'm new here and pretty much out ofmy option, so I'm asking for some help. I just got E80H and can't record from my Mitsubishi HS-U500 VCR to E80H hard-drive. I have taped a tv segment and want to record it to a hard-drive on E80H, but all I get is noise when playing it back.
I didn't get any copy protection warning and I think I shouldn't because it's my tape that I recorded from the TV. I have tried recording from the TV to hard-drive and it works fine, but not from my vsh tape. I have tried connecting it in different ways, but no luck…
I just want to record from my vsh tape using my vcr to the hard-drive, no fancy set ups or anything…all I get is noise screen with frames moving, but no picture or even audio. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Sounds to me like you didn't change the "Input" setting on the recorder to match the VCR. I believe there are at least three different inputs and the recorder defaults to input 1 which is the "component video" input. I think for standard VHS input the input should be "L3" or line 3.

Well on my E50 recorder it's only on the remote and is located in the bottom part of the remote that slides back to expose more buttons.Originally Posted by Shtirlits
