hello everyone,
have successfully burned vob files to dvd +rformat and dvd (copy to copy) using my dvd+r writer, but the discs only seem to work on a particular player.
I am using dvd shrink and then nero burning rom to burn.
Does the problem lie with nero when I choose the wrong option (ie dvd-video, dvd-rom,dvd-udf,dvd-udf/iso?

Yes, I think this might be the problem. You could try making an iso with ImgTool Classic and then burn with any desired program (My choice is DVD Decrypter).Does the problem lie with nero when I choose the wrong option (ie dvd-video, dvd-rom,dvd-udf,dvd-udf/iso?10110101100111012011 <- The bug Bill doesn't talk about.

realised the problem was burning with nero, used recordnow dx which was already installed on my pc, dvd+r discs now play on any player.
Finally!!
