I'm using Dazzle DVD Complete to author DVDs with menus. I've been very happy with the results with one exception. Is there anyway for the root menu to timeout either to start playing or end the DVD? Also, after the movie is played, for the DVDs I've made so far, the movie when it ends goes to the root menu which stays up until I hit stop on the DVD player (actually the remote) or eject the DVD. Is there anyway to get the DVD movie to end after is finishes? I looking for a feature similar to what's in VCDeasy if you wish to end the movie.

I'm probably missing something very simple here, I hope?

    Thanks in advance.

  2. Each Movie (each seperate mpeg) in a project states in the properties on the left side what to do at the end of its play. By default it says Play Root Menu 1, you can have it goto another movie or play the movie over again or stop the DVD player.

Acutally my movie is composed of "20 MPEG-2" movies or segments. So I've set segment 1, or movie 1, at the end to jump to segment 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 and so on. However, I don't see an "jump to end option". All I see are jump to root menu or movie 1-20. Am I just missing it?

Never Mind ... I'm an Idiot ... I found it, "Stop DVD". I just kept overlooking it.

  5. YES, At End of #1 = Jump to #2, #2 = Jump #3...At End of #20 = Stop DVD. The more movies you have, the more options you have to pick from and the harder it is to see.

Although Stop DVD is rather rare in Authoring, the first time I saw a DVD auto stop I thought there was something wrong with the DVD. But as long as you or whomever knows ahead of time there is no issue.
