I haven't bought them at Costco, Was the price good?
But I have used the TDK 4X +R DVDs with no problems at all in Sony DRU 500a.
When the price is the same despite being able to use either - or + format I go + format because they burn quicker. I can watch the buffer hit zero in Nero and a few seconds later the Lead-Out is done and the disk is burned and ready to go.
Cheers

I have used a bunch of the -R discs (2x). They burn very nicely (perfect lines in cdspeed2000) and have excellent compatibility with playback units. That quality comes at a bit of a price though.
I have found AN31 4x type discs to be just as compatible at less than half the cost (on a TDK 440N with hacked firmware). You might also want to try Ritek 4x as well but these have had issues for me in very old (1998ish) dvd players. -
Up here they're still come to $3 CDN a piece (they come in a package of 8 in individual jewel cases), not a bargin in my books. I'll stick to my Memorex 4x +R for (sometimes) $2 a piece, regularly their $2.40 a piece.

The Costco DVDs are 4x and both the "+" and the "-" are 15 dvds for $29.99. Or $2.00 a piece.

Ok, thanks for the information
Same price as Best Buy is here where I am, Costco is a little closer, but I can get in and out of Best Buy much quicker. IOW I have a Costco membership, But I actyually almost never use it myself. I let others in the household go their that enjoy shopping and just do the carry in from the car and repackage the meats thing.
So once again thanks, Keeps me from having to go.
Cheers
