I am making a VCD of Back to the Future 1. Can I fit the whole movie on one cd? I have an 800mb, 80 min cd. The file size is around 720mb, but the movie is longer than 80 minutes. I'm new to this, so if anybody can help me or give any advice, I'd appreciate it.

No. I presume that the 720 MB file is a divx and when you convert it it VCD MPG it will be bigger(VCD is 10 MB/min) so you have to cut it and use 2 CDs.

Using VCD standard specs, more than likely not...if you want to go the xVCD route, then yes, but prepared to sacrifice perceptual quality in exchange for fitting it on one disk.
