  1. I'm pretty sure this will be ok inside the machine but I would like just last minute ok so nothing terrible goes wrong.

I have a Nvidia card in my machine right now. Last night I bought the 50 dollar ATI All In Wonder 128 from Comp USA. Is it possivble just to use the ATI for video capture and keep my monitor hooked up with the Nvidia? I won't get any conflicts will I?

  2. yes you can have alot of problems. some cards do not like to be second in command, like if the AIW has to be the primary video card, then you are in trouble.

as for blowing up, your PC wont. trial and error and check bios for video boot sequence (boot from AGP or PCI first) etc.

there are other issues that I can imagine but don't know what the heck will happen, ie how you get the AIW to overlay onto the nvidia - I just don't know and while I think it shouldn't happen I am totally not sure.

first I would check ATI website for tech manuals and FAQ's for the card. check back here for other peoples responses as well (ati doesnt know everything).

then be prepared to return the AIW for a TV Wonder (which is a very good idea) or better yet a hauppage TV tuner card or similar (a card with better drivers/support/funtionality).

  3. I don't know if this applies here, but I installed a Studio DC10+ capture card alongside of an All in Wonder. I had to uninstall the capture drivers for the AIW, but after that, no problems at all.
