The s-video connection on my unit is quite loose. Every time I use it I have to unplug it and then plug it back in carefully. I have many devices that use s-video and I've never seen such a loose connection. I'm wondering if this is a defect in my unit or if others have this also.

Mine seemed too tight!
Plus, the on/off button wouldn't stay on without a fight and yesterday it stopped turning on at all. I returned it for a new one.
Perhaps this explains the $100 price difference with the Canopus ADVC-100.... -
I have not had any problems with my s-video connection or the on/off button with the DAC100. I just leave it all on and connected all the time.
