nero and winoncd can't detect dru500ax

I have installed, removed and reinstalled the nero (various versions) but neither nero nor WinonCD 5 Power edition can not detect the sony dru 500ax alyhough they can both detect the plextor cd writer. Sony is master , plextor is connected by a ide raid card trough pcı slot ...
anybody has any ideas pleeeease.

Oh by the way recordnow dx can detect everything; cdr, dvdr and dvd rom???? and performs well

I installed 5.5.10.20. it detected and alraedy wrote one, no problems at all.

now when I think about it I wonder why I felt to need a Nero; recordnow did and does it all anyway.
wrote cd1 of a film in record now dx's "data disc" and disc two in nero thet both worked on standalone.
