dvd-rom cannt read dvd-r

i have a dvd-r /dvd+r i dont know which 1 but the problem is this . my LITEON DVD-ROM LTD163 (16x/48x DVD-ROM) keeps giving me an error 8091000 an internal has occurred all that is on the disc is a few files that were to big for a cdr i cannt find out what the error is and how to fix it

tRY A DIFFERENT dvd and see if you still get the errors.

I would assume that you have a bad DVD and your DVD player is OK.

Please give more info, or I won't be able to help you.

is the disc blank?

i have that exact dvd-rom and it reads dvd-r, dvd-rw, dvd+r, & dvd+rw..

if your DVD-R/+R works in a friend's DVD-ROM, then it's your own DVD-ROM that is either broken or can't read DVD-R/+R

i have tried 2 different disc and the 1 is dvd-r and the other i dont know, niether worked i wander if it is possible if a driver is missing as i get error 8091000f an internal error but WHAT is this error

try your DVDs on a friend's DVD-ROM and get back w/ the results
