For most of my caps, I use HuffYUV and then encode to svcd compliant mpeg2. But, for the odd time that I just want to get a quick mpeg2 svcd cap using ATI's MMC 7.1, I get a non-compliant stream. Cap VBR 2200kbps avg. No frame drops. 4 P frames in GOP, 2 B. Deinterlace.
I can use tmpeg to demux/remux using the SVCD template, and then Nero will accept it, but I still can't open the file in tmpeg to edit it (to remove commercials). I get a "pack synchronization error" message. Ideas?
