Which internal HDD is most suitable for DVD playback/.ripping /.capturing MPEG 2 from TV Tuner
in terms of less errors when playing DVD frpm HDD, ripping and also less prone to crashing + capturing MPEG 2 from TV Tuner card
I am looking at 2 HDD of 80 Gb each on two operating systems
1) Are there any problems with having 2 HDD on 2 operating systems
2) I believe it 's all right having WIndows XP ( home ) instead of WIndows XP ( Pro) . I am only occasionally transferring data betweem two computer on a lan cable .

As long as you are capturing in mpeg-2 and not to .avi for coverstion to mpeg-2.... almost any 5400 rpm drive would do just fine.
Me personally, the only drives I by are segate barracuda's ( IV or V models ). They are quiet 7200rpm speed demons with a good reputation and a good warantee. -
Added tech details
HDD formula that have worked for me P4 1.6G using 720x480 MPEG-2 4 megs per second
5400 RPM @ UDMA 133 (not UDMA 100)
7200 RPM @ UDMA 100 (not UDMA 66)
