AAARGHH...I don't get any of this stuff...I'm encoding but my svcd are out of sync. I need a step-to-step guide (or reference to) from AVI file to svcd with motionmenus burned on a cd. Thanx guys I'm working at this for weeks but don't get any good quality. I hope you can help me out! I'm really interested in this SVCD scene! I really enjoy it but i'm a bit frustrated...

Once you get the avi to svcd use tscv to get the menu and chapters. it is the best authoring program going (my opinion) it can do motion menus and seemless chapters.
I don't encode from avi to svcd so i can't help you to much there. I know you can load a avi in virualdub and then frameserve to your encoder. Try using bbmpeg to mux or remux your audio and video to get the a/v in sync.
