    i already riped the movie to my HD

    how do i encode to avi?
    i have tired DVD2AVI, but i dont know how to merge both WAV/AVI

  4. Use Vitrual Dub.

    1) D/load and install the VFAPI codec
    2) Rip DVD
    3) Run DVD2AVI, choose save project to generate D2V and wav files
    4) Apply the VFAPI codec to the DVD2AVI D2V file
    5) Run VDub, load avi and wav file as audio source. Choose save.

    I don't think you want to do this. This will generate a HUGE uncompressed AVI at ~8MB/s. I think you want to make a DivX file (MPEG4 compression, has the avi extension). DivX are what most people d/load from Morpheus et.al.

    To make a DivX take a look to the left under "Convert" and it'll show how to make a DivX using VDub. Same as above but have to add a few filters (resize, deinterlace, and the DivX codec).

    i've had some problems loading the .avi you make from the .d2v file. i open virtualdub and try to laod the file but it says "unknown file type" or something similar to that.I have tryed this for a few dvds and same error. does anyone know how to fix it? has this happen to other ppl alot?
