  1. if i have a dvd rom and a dvd writer , can i put the dvd movie in the dvd rom and a blank dvd in the dvd writer and clone the movie without riping him? ( in assumption that there both 4.7 gig)
( if yes so tell me the name of the program)
dose the program do an image file and burn the image?
or it can do it directly dvdrom to dvdr?

No such program exists. Use dvd decrypter to rip to the hd and then burn.

  4. You might want to look at DVDXCopy, DVDShrink, DVD2One type programs.

  5. If the original dvd is under 4.3gig and already has the copy protection ripped off it(like say a copy of a dvd you already backed up or home movie you put ona blank dvd) you can just use nero and use the copy disc function.

In the tools section there should be a list of dvdrip programs

    <--------over there some place.

DvDshrink DOESNT make you rip it to the harddrive so Baldrick is abit wrong that there are no programs. But it takes alot longer to do it from the disk than from the HD.

And the chances of finding a commercial dvd that's under 4.3gig is slim, Only some of the earliest dvd's released are that small.

  8. It seems that your not asking a question so much as excepting/waiting to hear the answer you want Bottomline is that you can not really do on the fly copying of DVDs.

To answer you specific question (about single layer DVDs). Use DVD decrypter. YES you have to rip the image first. Then CHOOSE to burn it.

For DVD9 discs there are several choices (and guides) to the left. I mostly use IC and DVD Shrink (often process first with IFOEdit, but DVD shrink 2.3 seems to deselect material without errors).
