  1. Can anyone tell me which Video Producing/Editing program they recommend when making a skate video?

    it's going to come down to a) personal preference and b) what you can afford.

    I would suggest trying out Sonic Foundry's Vegas Video 4, and Adobe Premiere 6.5.

    Some freeware you can try - Zwei-Stein (www.thugsatbay.com) MovieXone and ABC Video Roll (the last two are going to require heavy Google searches - they are out there, but they take about 8-10 pages of Google slogging to find the links to the freeware versions).

    Personally, I like Vegas, many others love Premiere, there's also Ulead Video Studio, Final Cut Pro for Mac, all sorts of stuff. Get as many trial versions as you can and see which one makes sense, feels good, is easy for you to work with.

    And make sure you keep track of what you are doing - you will make your life a lot easier if you take good notes of which file is which shot, etc. etc. Good logging (especially on a music video or skate vid with lots of different shots, quick cuts, etc) is going to make the difference between doing good work and tearing your hair out in frustration.
