  1. I converted an SVCD to a DVD by using "How to convert to DVD with DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc." I burned it onto a DVD w/ Ulead DVD movie factory. It doesnt play on some DVD players (why is that when it should be a regular dvd). And it wont play on a Play station 2. Was there another program I should have used or something. Any answers would be greatful. Thank you in advance

It could be because some DVD players don't support DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R or DVD+RW...

  3. It could be a number of things. Things to try or check: 1) Use good media. Review on the left of this site "DVD Media". 2) Try burning in different software. RecordNow Max works well for many people here. You can still use MovieFactory for authoring but try burning with something else. Or try burning at a slower speed. 3) Your player is picky. Try playing on a friends standalone player or one at a store. Also, see "DVD Players" on this site to the left to research before purchasing.

  4. Remember you have not made a pressed DVD like you buy commercially, you have burned a DVD. Not all DVD players will play burned DVD's. Check the DVD players you have tried it on in the DVD players compatability list to see if there are any comments on what media they will read.
