  1. Hi

One of my friends ripped some tv-show for me, in svcd quality.. when I play it on my computer it plays great, no problems at all.. but then, when I burn it and play it on my dvd its out of sync :S Then I tried to view it on my brothers standalone dvd, and that plays it without any problems aswell.

On my computer I used WinDVD 4.0 to view it. My standalone DVD player is a Nintaus 9901 (i think.. its the first nintaus dvd, that much i know).. I tried changing the setup but nothing helps.. anyone knows what causes this??

What brand is your stand alone. My Philips 718 has trouble with some SVCDs done at 2520 video bitrate. I dropped back the bitrate to 2450 and the sync problem when away.

WOW STEF YOU FOUND THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON!!!1!! THIS IS A GREAT DAY FOR US ALL!!"!!!!

Try reading in the DVD players section over there <---------- whether your model is DVD-/+R compliant.

Lecter, not all DVD players are created equally, and SVCD support is getting rarer. again, check the DVD compatibility listings for more info.

I've had just a similar issue
THE SVCD of CANDY plays fine on any PC, but out of SYNC on my settop
    HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN?
ANY OTHER SVCD I've done is perfectly in sync on both types of machine..This doesn't make sense!
