    when i capture in mpeg2 why do none of my edit programs recognize it what format is best for editing

    premiere doesnt do mpeg2 but i capture i n uncompressed avi which a 4 min video is like almost 5 gigs so avi si deff the best...but try mpg1 if u dont have enough space...
