What HW needed to start making DV?

I'm new to all this CamDV --> PC --> CD/DVD.

My Videocamera (Sony DCR-TRV110E) has DV (1394 compliant)and S-Video outlets. My PC (P4/2400MHz, 512MB) has a 1394 inlet, 2 x 60GB HDDs, SB Live! Value soundcard, Diamond Viper V770 videocard and a Philips CDRW48A CD-writer.
What H/W equipment is needed to move DV's from the camera onto DVDs? A DVD-writer is obvious.
Anything more? I'm thinking in terms of function, not manufacturer.

Please help a newbie to get at least on to the starting grid!

Are you kidding? You are already in the game! You will need a 6-pin to 4-pin fire wire cable. And a program that allows you to capture in DV. There are many that do this, but the one I use is Video Studio 6 (demo available).

Once you hook up the cable to your camera and computer, turn on the camera to VCR, load the program. Select the capture screen, and where it displays MPEG, change the pull down menu to DV. Select the capture icon. The program will start your camera and begin capturing for you.

No, I wasn't kidding - honestly. It's just that I thought I'd heard and seen so many words about HW requirements for converting / decoding. Guess I missunderstod most of it being new to this kind of game.
I even have the FW-cable.
I'll get myself a DVD-writer first thing tomorrow.
