  1. I only have a 56k modem, so I hate having to wait days to know the quality of a avi file(resolution, etc.) , so is there a program that can help me?
    I know AviPreview, but it doesnt tells me all that info.

    if ur downloading off kazaa, there is a program called kazaalite k++ edtion, it comes with "dat view" that lets u read the file resoultion, length and compression codec, it also comes with "avi preview" which lets u watch ur currently downloading file provided u have more than 256k of it done. u can get this marvelous package at http://www.kazaa-lite.tk. i only have 56k to and this is what i use , so it comes recommended

    You can copy (read copy, there's a reason to use a copy) an incomplete AVI, then run divxfix on it to view it, or open it in VDUB and preview it.
