Hi all
May be stupid question to you guys, but my friend wants to but a Digital camcorder and a DVD Writer. She thinks her PC is not up to the job (hard drive 13 Gb, 233Mhz processor etc!) Can she put the stuff she has recorder straight from the camcorder to a DVD disc, or does she have to capture it to the HD first?!!
TIA

It would need captured first. However a 233MHz PC isn't suitable for MPEG2 so it will need to be upgraded first. If your friend doesn't want to edit the DV material and just wants straight DVDR copies, then buying a standalone DVDR recorder might be a better bet.
