VCD not playing on my home DVD

Hi made an MPG movie as follows. Standard PAL format (25fps) 44.1Hz audio.......
I used NERO to burn to a VCD (the VCD option in Nero) and my DVD player won't play it. The player says that it will play DVD/VideoCD/CD so why won't it play my VCD???

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Question is, does your DVD support CDR/CDRW media ? it might be capable of playing VCD, but that might only be for genuine store bought VCD's and not CDR/CDRW's

Also, try checking the DVD Players Compatibility list and see what are the functions and comments made by users on your DVD Player (if it's in the list)
