  1. Well, I've burned per Pinnacle Studio Version 8.5, a VCD for use on home DVD, a Panasonic RV-41. This DVD playere is supposed to be able to run VCD's - to no avail, get everything from "cannot read disk" to garbled picture and sound output - works OK on computer...Any idea(s) what I am doing wrong, or where I can look for answers??? It SEEMS very straightforward when reading "how to's", however...

    Thanks

could be anything. could be that some dvd players are picky about what brand cd-r you use. could be the framerate.

go to the dvd player compatibility section on this site and look for your player, to me , i wanna ask if when you bought the player did u check to see if it plays vcds, if not , they sinply wont play, no matter what, if yours does support vcd, then your gonna have to give me some more detail...holla

If you used a cdr, try a cdrw they often work better with standalone units.
The laser seems to "see" them better.
There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
