  1. Can someone please help I am new to all this so please treat me like a novice

    I am trying to back up my DVD collection but have had no luck doing this I have a DVD writer and tried using nero but cant get round the copyright also used pinacle instant cd/dvd still the same can anyone tell me how to get round this also been told I need to compress the files to make them fit how do I do this? I dont want to spend anymore money on expesive programs so does any one know a cheap way of doing all this

    Use DVDshrink (freeware) then use Nero to burn to DVD. Download it from this site, see main page of dvdrhelp.com

    Make yourself a new folder for your DVD on your system HD.

    DS will rip your disc, save files to DVD5 size, and be sure to put them in the DVD folder.

    Use NERO and make a DVD-VIDEO. Put the files from DS into the VIDEO_TS folder.

    Burn.

    Watch new DVD.

  3. How do I save them as dvd5 files? this is completley new to me ansd I will need a lot of help if anyone is willing to give it

    Dude, there's lots of guides. Do some reading, do a search, look in the DVD rip section on the left. There's lots of information and it's all right there if you want it.
