  1. hello, i already posted something on this and someone told me to get a prog called Camtasia and then make a capture window over real player as it was playing...
    This didnt work.
There seems to be somehing embedded in the .RAM video that prevents Camtasia from capturing the video. Is there some way to disable this feature with a patch? or is there another prog that will convert the actual file to any other usefull format.

    Desperately awaiting a reply...

  2. hi,
try opening the RAM file with notepad, because some merely contain links to the actual video file. u can use this to make a direct dld link (if you know basic html) and download the true video file. if this isnt the case though, i cant help sorry

  4. Hi !

Have you tried switching off graphics hardware acceleration in Windows ?
I had some similar problem with another capture program and it worked.

  5. To find hidden link to a file, try to use URL Snooper:
    http://cool.sj.net.cn/%7Esouxin/software/URLSnooper-106.zip
Also download this little thing - http://nowok.net/souxin/software/WinPcap.exe - and install it after installing URL Snooper, otherwise it may not work.

  6. Its not a problem with your screen capture program. Its with real player. Do this: Open real player, click view, and then preferences. Then the performance tab. On the bottom right there is a check box that says "use optimized video display". Make sure its unchecked.
Let me know how it works, and I would like to thank real player for telling me this!

  7. Thanks alot!
it worked beautifully with little loss of quality... Since the vid is underwater, it dont think anyone will notice.
the only problem is that Camtasia doesnt capture audio, u have to loop a cable out of the soundcard and back in to get audio capture... is there any other prog that will do audio and video without jury-rigging the soundcard?
    thanks for the help guys
