    I have some movies in avi format but wide screen is there a way to change to fit screen?

    You could acomplish this through frameservering through an AviSynth script to your mpeg2 encoder (TMPGEnc, CCE, or whatever you are using). I'm not sure exactly what the script would be. I think it would involve cropping. I've never wanted to cut off the sides of my widescreen films to make them full screen. You can find the plugins and appropriate script at AviSynth's website (www. avisynth.com I think). Good Luck!!
