a differance in picture quality and sound burning to a dvd-r than a vcd,svcd,etc

media type has no DIRECT AFFECT quality....now some would say bigger media allows for higher bitrates which in turn leads to more quality...but 1.15 mbps on both a 74 min & 80 min CDR have the same quality, (with an understanding that Im saying that the same file is burned on both disks)
