Have you ever seen a funny video clip on The Tonight Show where that clip is first played once, then it's reversed and played again, all in one continuous loop? How do I do that? What program do I need?

You need a special very high-end software called Loopy-Doopy. It's the only software that can possibly acheive the affect that you're looking for.....just kidding...just about any editing software will allow you to make a loop like what you want...when a clip plays forward than backwards in a loop, it is called a toggling loop...virtual-dub is a free software that you can find a link for on this website, or you could use premiere....the trick will be for you to take a little time and learn the basics of the software that you are using...in premiere you would place the clip that you want to loop into the timeline twice...on the second clip, change the speed to -100 and render....

Thank you for both replies.

How do I change the speed to -100 like you said? I can't seem to find a place to input this number.
When I first open the movie clip, I see a "Project" window on the top left, a "Monitor" window on the top right, and a "Timeline" window on the bottom. The "Timeline" window has four video bars: (from top to bottom)
1) Video 2
2) Video 1A
3) Transition
4) Video 1B
From your direction, I dragged the movie clip from the "Project" window down onto the "Timeline" window, but where do I put it? I took a guess and decided to place it on the "Video 2" bar. I then dragged a second clip from the "Project" bar and placed it next to the first clip on "Video 2". Now what? How do I input -100?
Also, since there are only two clips, would I have to drag more clips down onto the "Timeline" bar to make the toggling loop last longer, or are two clips enough?
I would appreciate any time you can provide with this problem. Premiere seems too difficult, and the help file doesn't have a step-by-step guide for making a toggling loop. Is there another online source with this kind of tutorial? -
